You travelled to a very distant place during which you were involved in an accident which almost took your life, write a letter t
podryga [215]

Answer:

Dear Friend: I am writing to tell you news of me that, although at first were tragic, luckily today they have improved considerably.

As you know, this year I decided to go on vacation to Italy with my girlfriend, to visit the towns where our grandparents were born, as well as the picturesque cities of Milan, Rome, Naples and the fantastic island of Sicily.

Our trip began at the airport of our city, where we embarked for Rome on a trip that took about 8 hours to the Italian capital. There, everything went wonderfully, we visited the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, we ate pizza and pasta, and we learned a few words in Italian. We continued our journey to Naples, and then we reached Sicily.

There, everything changed for worse. We decided to visit Palermo and then stay in Cefalu, on the coast. There, the huge cliffs are picturesque and dangerous at the same time. The ignorance of the place played a trick on me and, in an oversight, while I was walking along the beach with my girlfriend, I slipped and fell down a 15-meter cliff into the water, which in that place had a very shallow depth.

As you can imagine, the accident had serious consequences: I fractured both my ankles and knees, causing me to pass out because of the pain. The water covered me, and I began to drown while I was unconscious and my girlfriend screamed for help. Quickly, a group of young guys was able to help me out of the water, calling a medical helicopter to pick me up and take me urgently to a hospital.

There I underwent surgery to repair both of my legs, for which I was hospitalized for 3 weeks. Not to mention the hospital bills, which exceed thousands of dollars.  In short, a trip of 3 weeks turned out to be a trip of almost 1 month and a half, in which more than half of the time I spent in hospital. Luckily, in my job they understood me and did not deduct the days not worked, although I know that I will have to work overtime once I return to my tasks.

Today, I continue to walk on crutches, doing mobility recovery exercises and hoping to get back to my normal life as soon as possible.

As a moral, I give you this teaching: never travel to a place without at least knowing the characteristics of the area, as you may be in for a bitter surprise. Also, remember that it is very important to have travel medical insurance for any eventuality that may arise.

But don't worry, I'm already recovering and as soon as we see each other, I'll be great. Greetings, your great friend.
