A manufacturing company uses an acceptance scheme on production items before they are shipped. The plan is a two-stage one. Boxe

Under this new scheme an inspector takes one at random, inspects it, and then replaces it in the box; a second inspector does likewise. Fianlly a third inspector goes through the same procedure. The box will not be shipped if any of the three find a defective.

b) What is the probability that a box containing only 1 defective will be sent back for screening?

Which diagram shows lines that must be parallel lines cut by a transversal? 2 horizontal lines are intersected by a third line.
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

 (A) At the intersection of the first line with the third line, the bottom left angle is 115 degrees. At the intersection of the second line with the third line, the uppercase left angle is 65 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Alternate interior angles are supplementary when parallel lines are crossed by a transversal. The first description seems to be describing alternate interior angles. (See attachment)

_____

Comment on orientation

If the transversal is oriented horizontally, then the descriptions of the angles will be of different angles than assumed here.
