Answer: No. They would of course still eat meat since it was essential for survival, but they would only be able to catch small animals, buffalo etc. When the columbian exchange brought new animals to America they were able to consume much more protein than before

the columbian exchange brought all sorts of new animals and other goods including horses and cattle, chickens sheep and goats

Explanation: Cattle and these other animals are rich in protein
