Answer:

Option A. The United States' use of atomic weapons.

Explanation:

After the release of atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese empire ceased fire and stopped posing any threat to the allies.

In the aftermath of the bombing, Japan was under the United States' occupation. General Douglas McArthur travelled personally to Japan in order to formally accept the empire's surrender with the signing of an armistice.

Why did Western countries hope to influence governments in the Middle East during the early 20th century?
marysya [2.9K]

The correct answer is B) to ensure that Middle Eastern leaders would continue supplying them with oil.

Western countries hoped to influence governments in the Middle East during the early 20th century to ensure that Middle Eastern leaders would continue supplying them with oil.

Oil is abundant in the Middle East. For some countries, is the only thing that they produce and can export to generate an income. Oil has also been the reason for many conflicts in the region. Let's just remember the War of the Persin Gulf, when Irak invaded Kuwait and the United States troops had to intervene. So for oil reasons, many Western countries hoped to influence governments in the Middle East during the early 20th century to ensure that Middle Eastern leaders would continue supplying them with oil. The economic interests in the region are one of the most important foreign issues for Western countries such as the U.S.

How did humanism change science , religion and art during the renaissance?
harkovskaia [24]
Humanism basically took out all religious values out of the picture. Science was less based upon religious studies of the church, such as how Galileo questioned Plato's idea of the earth being at the center of the universe. Doing this was basically questioning the church. And art became more of a capitalistic competition over who could create "the best" art.
