Answer:

A text that tells a story is called a narrative text.

Explanation:

A narrative text is a text that tells a story from a particular point of view, usually aimed at entertaining people and engaging them in an imaginative experience. To develop a narrative text, authors generally pose problematic events and guide the reader up the resolution of that event. Although they can be based on fact, narrative texts are often fictional.

why does chaucer use irony in his description of pilgrims and what do readers gain from comprehending his iron statements
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

Chaucer uses irony in The Canterbury Tales to promote his theme that appearances do not always match reality. He demonstrates this theme through the tales told by pilgrims on a spiritual journey.

Explanation:

Irony, in its basic form, is a literary device or technique authors use to demonstrate how events are not always as they seem. In The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer (c. 1343–1400) uses this technique to show his readers that physical appearances often differ dramatically from reality.

In “Everyday Use” by Alice Walker, how does each sister learn about her heritage?
liraira [26]
Each sister learns about her heritage through looking at the clothing patches that were sown. The quilt, fabric, and every element of the works of clothing put together had meanings that pointed out the story (or the history, in this case) of the heritage of the family.
