So 2.25 is 50% of the original price
let's write original price as x
50% of x = 2.25
0.5 * x = 2.25
divide both sides by 0.5
x = 4.5
The original price is 4.5
To check:
50% * (4.5) =?= 2.25
0.5 * 4.5 =?= 2.25
2.25 = 2.25
Hope this helps.

the area is 41.6cm which is 1foot 4 3/8 inches.
