This map uses red arrows to show the direction and magnitude of tectonic plate movement.
Fittoniya [83]

The correct answer is - b. African.

The African tectonic plate will move the most of all tectonic plates. It is moving into a northeastern direction, and it is pushing towards the western part of the Eurasian tectonic plate and it is squeezing the Arabian tectonic plate between itself and the Eurasian tectonic plate. Because of this movement, the African tectonic plate in a relatively small amount of time (geologically speaking) will merge with Europe, and since both of the plates are of same density a large mountain range will start to form because of the pressure between the two plates. Also, the Mediterranean Sea will be cut of from the Atlantic Ocean and it will dry out.

kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

The Carboniferous era had large deposits of coal matter in the soil. However there was absence of decomposers which gave rise to increased accumulation of organic matter in the soil.

Decomposers make use of oxygen to breathe in the soil due to their existence as animals and not plants. They inhale oxygen and give out Carbon dioxide.

Absence of these decomposers mean increased level of oxygen due to its non usage and reduction in CO2 which is the end product of respiration for the decomposers.

Can cellular respiration and photosynthesis occur in the same organelle
Marysya12 [62]

No, it doesn’t occur in the same organelle or organism. Chloroplast is the organelle where Photosynthesis occur, while Mitochondria is the organism/organelle where cellular respiration occur. Photosynthesis happens in the plant kingdom called for example a sun flower uses the process of photosynthesis to make food for itself. Cellular respiration is a chemical process in the mitochondria that makes energy out of sugar and oxygen creating ATP.
