Rahul said a silent prayer under his breath that the train would arrive before the storm did. After all, the storm was basically right above him. At last, just as the rain started to pelt Rahul’s back and head, the train doors opened. Rahul was eager to jump aboard, but an arm reached out before he could get onboard. The conductor, with his firm voice, said, “the track is flooded up ahead. You can’t board this train.”
Rahul was now soaking wet, so he made his way back into the train station to see when the next train would leave. That is, if the flood on the tracks dried up.
