Repacking her bag for her trip to New York was a slow process because Sherri's stuff was strewn over every inch of the floor.
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

Stuff

Explanation:

Word stuff is the only one that is not explained more in the sentence.

Word stuff is in general very vague word that can mean a wide array of things, physical as well as abstract. We do not know what are the stuff that Sherri had in the room, what is she suppose to pack and what is scattered around.

We know the word her refers to Sherri, the trip refers to her going to New York, and that every refers to the inches of her room.
