The answer is sink holes.

The collapse are commonly known as sinkholes that can occur naturally or due to human activities.

More commonly the collapse occurs in urban areas because of the breaks or sewer collapse, when older piper gives away.

They can also occur by the over pumping and extraction of groundwater and the sub surface fluids.

Termites share an endosymbiotic relationship with the protozoan that live in their gut. Which statements are true of this relati
Alchen [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

The true statements are:

-The termite benefits from the relationship by receiving food from the protozoan

-The protozoan benefits from the relationship by receiving shelter and food from the termite

The second statement is obvious. The protozoan lives in the termite, eating what the termite eats and enjoying the shelter the termite provides. The first statement is also true, but poorly worded. the termite does not actually receive food from the protozoan. The protozoan only helps to digest the food that the termite has already consumed.

Identify two chemicals in digestive juice in the stomach and explain what they do
sergeinik [125]

- enzyme pepsin: chemically digests the proteins in the food, breaking down into amino acids

- hydrochloric acid (strong acid): provides an acid environment for pepsin and kills bacteria (food); without this acid, the stomach could not function properly.

Approximately how much of an organism's genetic material is contributed by its mother?
gavmur [86]
<span>About 50%

Both the mother and father contribute about the same amount of genetic material to their offspring, but it's not quite 50/50. Taking humans as an example, both parents contribute the same amount of genetic material for 22 of the 23 chromosome pairs, but the 23rd pair that determines gender (the X and Y chromosomes) are of different size. So for female children, both parents contribute about the same amount, but for male children, the mother contributes a larger portion since the X chromosome is quite a bit larger than the Y chromosome from the father. Another area in which the contribution differs is the mitochondrial DNA which is contributed solely by the mother. For mammals, this is about 1% of the total genetic material.</span>

How does an ecological foot print differ from a regular footprint?
lisov135 [29]

An ecological footprint refers to the damage you did to your environment and what you'll leave behind.

So normally, a regular footprint should refer to just what you did and didn't do to this world, and an ecological is strictly refering to the environment.

Hope it helped,
