Use details from the text to write two or three sentences that describe the differing points of view members of the Graham famil
Reptile [31]

Answer:

The members of the Graham family have basically two different points of view, some defend slavery and war, and some are against it

Explanation:

During dinner time the Graham family have a strong conversation with really different points of view, while Creighton is against war and slavery, Wiles defends the idea of war and is against the arguments of president Lincoln when he tries to create a peaceful environment for both sides of the coin. Really angry, Wiles states that the greatest problem is greed more than slavery. He mentions as well that the south and north should be separated each one with its own ideas. He thinks, the south should simply stay alone and leave in peace the north with its slave. During the argument, it is also possible to notice how Tom stays quite but also really angry about the fight.

What does the author reveal about Scoot's character from her thoughts and actions while she is trapped in the cabin? Cite eviden
Alona [7]

Answer:

Scoot was not the type to give up when in danger. She was also a brave girl.

Explanation:

In the book 'Rogue Wave', we learn of a brother and sister who went on a ride in a sailboat. This was to serve as a fulfillment of the birthday wish of the fourteen-year-old girl, Scoot. However, they were faced with danger when the boat tilted downwards because of a giant wave that left Scoot trapped in the cabin while her brother Sully managed to get out.

Scoot was not downhearted when she realized that she was trapped. She made courageous efforts to get herself out including

1. holding on to a hull

2. shouting out for her brother

3. searching for a torchlight which she used to find her way around the cabin

4. diving into the water to find her footing on the ceiling ribs, and

5. hitting hard on the window to open it up eventually.
