Explanation:

This is not a case is with the United States only. And in other countries with strong economies and migrants from less developed parts of the world, they mostly go to big cities to find work. This process began as early as the 19th century during the Industrial Revolution. Then the local people from the countryside started going to cities to work in industries, and so urbanization took place. Today, in search of a better life, people from less developed countries go to those who are economically better placed in search of work.
