The 10 most-free economies are basically all in Western, wealthy, and developed nations; and the 10 least-free economies are in nations generally thought of as poor, corrupt, and authoritarian.

According to heritage foundation report, per capita income is much higher in countries that are economically more free. Greater economic freedom is also strongly correlated with general well-being considering factors such as health, education, environment, innovation, social progress and democratic governance.
