I have very little information about the religious life of the Indus valley people. During it's hey days the Indus valley civilization covered an area in the Indian subcontinent that was larger than the present day Europe. The civilization flourished roughly between 3500 BC and 2000 BC, with its antecedents dating as far back as 7000 -6000 BC during the Neolithic period.
1. Not reluctant at all. For crying out loud a US Naval base (Pearl Harbor) was destroyed and thousands of US citizens died.

3. Unemployment went down, the economy was set for war. This united people everywhere. We are the United States after all.
4. Women took up auxiliary roles, took the mens jobs in factories and sometimes served to train others.
5. READ THIS CAREFULLY: WW1? I don't know. Unless you are speaking of WW2, then their experience was terrible. They were discriminated and put into camps.
The difference is that the older union tend to pursue practical things such as fair wages, number of holidays, and working hours.
The newer union on the other hand, tend to focus on something that related to social justice, such as fair treatment between each races, same opportunity to rise the ladder, etc.
