Answer:

Volume of a cube(V) is equal to side times side times side. i.e

V=s\times s\times s = s^3 cubic unit ; where s represents the side.

Since each side of a square is the same then, it can simply be the length of one side cubed.

Given:

The side of cube(s) = \frac{1}{2} inch

then,

by the definition of volume of cube;

V= s \times s \times s

Substitute the value of s in above formula;

V =\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{2 \times 2 \times 2} =  \frac{1}{8} cubic inches

therefore, the volume of cube is, \frac{1}{8} = 0.125 cubic inches.

Answer:

12 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Applying the distance formula, \sqrt{(x_{2}- x_{1})^{2} + (y_{2}- y_{1})^{2} }, you get \sqrt{(2-2)^{2}  +(4+8)^{2}} = 12 units.

The diameter of a circle is 3 cm. Find the circumference to the nearest tenth.
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

The answer is 9.4 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve for the circumference of the circle, use the circumference formula, which is C = 2 \pi r.

Next, in the problem, the circle has a diameter measure but no radius measure. To find the radius of this circle, divide the diameter (3 cm) by 2, and it will equal 1.5 cm. The radius is being divided by 2 because the radius of any circle is equal to half the diameter of the circle.

Then, plug in the information given from the problem into the formula, and the formula will look like C = (2) (\pi) (1.5 cm).

Finally, solve the equation, and the answer is 9.4 cm.

I need help pls! optional to give an explanation to help me understand :)
Amiraneli [1.4K]
Answer:
I believe it should be (-4,2)

Explanation:
You can use substitution to solve this, so

1/4x+3 = 2x+10

(Because they both = y)

Then solve for x
X=-4

Then you plug x into one of the equations to solve for y. I used y=1/4(-4)+3

Hope this helps
