Perimiter=2(Length+width)
perimiter=70
70=2(L+W)
divide both sides by 2
35=L+W

L:W=4:3
4+3=7
35=L+W
35=7 units
divide both sides by 7
5=1 unit

length=4 units
4 times 5=20
width=3 units
3times 5=15

length=20in
width=15in

Length = L width = W
4+3 = 7
3/7 * 70 = 30
4/7 * 70 = 40
30 = 2W
40 = 2LW = 15
L = 20

jane is twice as old as Barbara. Michael is 7 years older than Jane. If Michael is 21, which equation could be used to find Barb
dedylja [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

J = 2b

M = J + 7

M = 21

J = 21 - 7

J = 14

B = 7

Equation:

If M is J+7, so then J = 21-7. J is 2*b, so 2*b = 21-7. Then you subtract and divide.

Observe the equation below, can a value be found for x to make the equation true? Why or why not? 0=4x
Fiesta28 [93]
You have written 0 = 4x.

The value of x that makes it true is x = 0, given that 4 times 0 is 0.

Nevertheless, I think you wanted to write 0 = 4 ^x (this is 4 raised to the power 4).

In that case, there is not any valued of x that satisfies the equation. This is, the equation is always false.

That is because, there is not any value of x for which 4^x is zero. The range of this function is al the positive values of x, which exclude zero.

Now find another real world example (it can be a similar range problem). Graph it on a number line, and then explain the minimum
Kaylis [27]

The real world example for the absolute value are to express the change in balance of account.

How to use absolute value in real world problem?

Absolute value in real world problem is used to express the change or variation from one point to another point. In the absolute value, the sign of the number is not consideredd.

Let a real world example-

 • Everyone is going with 20 km/h and a person x is going with 15 km/h.
 • The person x has most likely to get the token as the difference between his speed and public speed is 5 km/h.
 • The sign of the number is not considered, whether it is +5 or -5 it is the difference of 5 km/h.
 • The number line for this absolute value is plotted below.
