Denominators are same, so you can add the numerators.

      $=\frac{142}{100}$  

Converting improper fraction into mixed fraction.

      $=1\frac{42}{100}$

Writing 1.42 in the percent form:

1.42 = 100% + 42$

      = 142%

1.42 = 142%
