They had political cartoons, which was one influence
For example, there was one cartoon with a man and his family and the kids ask, “ Daddy, what did you do during the war?”
Now of course these people were civilians and couldn’t join the war effort, but they could at least buy war bonds.

I would have been supporting the dove position if I would have been alive during the VIetnam war. Mostly because the US had no right in interfering with things which were happening in a foreign nation they had no relation to.
