Ok, we have 4 1/6 + 2 3/8, no problem

4 1/6 and 2 3/8 common denominator is 24

24 divide 6 = 4
1 x 4 = 4
Basically, 4 4/24

Now, we have 2 3/8

24 divide 8 = 3
3 x 3 = 9
Basically, 2 9/24

4 4/24 + 2 9/24 = 6 13/24

Hope this helps!

My answer is 6 13/24

All you have to do is turn the mixed numbers into a improper fraction, find LCM (Least Common Multiple) of 6 and 8. Divide first, Multiply, then add. Reduce It.
