When the Allied forces closed in, American and Russian , the Nazis attempted to dismantle the camps and hide their crimes. They also destroyed the gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau..They also made the prisoners march out of the camps in what history would call the death marches.They were also burning documents filled with evidence.
