Here is my introduction: Should kids play dangerous sports? Not everyone has the same opinion on this question. Children should

play dangerous sports, because it does more good than bad. People are scared of what will happen to their kids and they just don't want their kid getting hurt. That's why kids should play dangerous sports, so they can learn how to play safe. --------- Is this a good intro for an article about dangerous sports?

Depending on what grade you are, maybe. If you are in sixth grade or lower, yes. In seventh and higher, no. A question as a hook is taught in elementary school but should not be used in higher grade essays.

How do the details Judith Ortiz Cofer includes support her THESIS that Latinas are poorly
pishuonlain [190]

The details Cofer includes support her thesis that Latinas are poorly understood and grossly stereotyped by showing how they constantly disrespected by society.

In her essay "The Myth of the Latin Woman: I just Met a Girl Named María," Judith Ortiz Cofer (1952-2016) discusses the myth - the stereotype - surrounding Latin girls and women.

According to the author, Latin women are misjudged all the time. Society is taught, especially by the media, to <u>regard them as women to hit on, to send to the kitchen, or even as criminals.</u>

She claims that looking like a Latin woman is enough to have others disrespect you. She offers examples and details to support that idea.

Two details we can extract from the text are:

1. The boy who took her to prom and kissed her on the lips without her consent. He did not like her lack of enthusiasm and said, "<u>I thought you Latin girls were supposed to mature early</u>."

2. The white man who sang songs to her - one of those had offensive lyrics - in front of other people in a hotel just because she is a Latin woman. <u>He thought her not as a person, but as a character "in his cartoon-populated universe."</u>

In conclusion, the details above help the author make her case by exemplifying the disrespect that comes with being a Latin woman in a prejudiced world.

Evaluate an Advertisement For your next assignment, select an advertisement that you have seen recently. It could be a print ad,
ryzh [129]

In the selected advertisement the product is the brand itself. The source is an advertising signboard (you will find it in the attached document). In it, you can see the fragments of the brand logotype simulating traffic signs accompanied by a short indicative text.

The purpose of this advertising piece is given through the recognition of the logo (very famous) even being partitioned. This way they keep the brand positioning they already have. Everybody the big M on the route, far away and gets hungry, so they keep on playing with that. They take advantage of it. The advertiser knows his brand is worldwide known and establishes an implicit game of complicity with the receiver.

People see the big M on the route, they get hungry and the sings take you to the closest restaurant, you just need to “follow the arch”.They have full effectiveness. As we already said the brand is so well positioned that when people see the red M everybody knows whats standing for. They know what they will have, how much will it cost, that's gonna be quick  and that they will love it.
