Margaret A. Frink and her husband are two of the most famous people to travel to California in order to profit from the Gold Rush. The Frinks travelled from Indiana in a custom wagon all the way to Sacramento, where they established themselves in October 1850. Margaret recorded her experiences in her diary, and one of the experiences she describes is meeting some Native American people who gave the Frinks fish for trade.
