The Treaty of Paris was signed on 1783 by<em> three representatives of the United States (John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and John Jay) </em>and <em>David Hartley in representation of King Charles III</em>, formally ending the American Revolution, and recognizing the <u>independence of the 13 Colonies</u>.

The key terms of the Treaty of Paris that ensured peace were established through 10 articles that benefited both countries, the main terms were:

  • Acknowledge of the 13 Colonies as free, sovereign and independent states.
  • Boundaries for the United States of America and the British North America were settled.
  • All prisoners from both countries were to be released.
  • Properties of the Loyalists were to be returned.
  • Both countries would have access to the Mississippi River.
  • Both countries had the right to fish on Grand Bank and other Banks of the New found land.
  • Territories captured by either country would be restored without compensation.

I believe that the most fitting answer for this question would be prosecuting "trusts," or monopolies, that were in violation of the federal Anti-Trust law. During the Progressive Era, or 1900 to 1917, trust-busting efforts were very prevalent. Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson were especially adamant about trust-busting. Hope this helps.

This is not true. Cities and Civilizations go back to the time of the Agricultural/Neolithic revolution around 7 000 years ago.  For example, we have archaeological evidence for cities from this time.

However, the question depends on the interpretation of "recent": compared to the time span of evolution from Most Recent Common Ancestor with Chimpazees (5 million years ago): this is very recent.
