This process is called depreciation. It is defined as the reduction of the value of an asset with time due to factors like wear and tear. The car, in this case, is very susceptible to wear and tear therefore it will really depreciate no matter what. Depreciation is one cost that should be included in any accounting of assets.

Tyare Corporation had the following inventory balances at the beginning and end of May:
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

The correct answer is option (b) $5400

Explanation:

Solution

Calculation of the cost of direct material on May 1

Now,

The starting work In process inventory = Direct materials Cost + Direct labor Cost + Manufacturing overhead applied on W.I.P

13,500 = Direct materials cost + 4500 + 3600

Thus,

Direct material cost = 13500 - 4500-3600 = $5400

Note: Direct labor cost = 300 * 15 = $ 4500

The manufacturing overhead = 300 hour * $12 = $ 3600

So, only expenses associated to work in process will be considered, hence only direct labor and manufacturing overhead are used to work in process are considered.

Data collected from the economy of Pokerville reveals that a 16% increase in income leads to the following changes:
inessss [21]

Answer:

Horses - 0.75 - normal

Clubs- 0.875 - inferior

Diamonds - 1.75 - normal

Diamond is a luxury good

Explanation:

Income elasticity of demand measures the responsiveness of quantity demanded to changes in income of the consumer.

Income elasticity of demand = percentage change in demand / percentage change in income

Income elascitiy for horses = 12% / 16% =

Income elasticity of demand for spades = 14% / 16% = 0.875

Income elasticity of demand for diamonds 28% / 16% = 1.75

A normal good is a whose demand increases when income increases and falls when income falls.

An inferior good is a good whose demand increases when income falls and whose demand falls when income increases.

Horses and diamonds are normal goods because the demand for the goods increases with income while clubs are inferior goods because the demand for the goods falls when income rises.

A luxury good is a good whose demand rises more than the rise in income. The demands for diamonds increase more than the increase in income, so diamonds are luxury goods.

1.The property in a mixed market economy likely is ____.
Igoryamba

Answer:

1.The property in a mixed market economy likely is PRIVATE.

2. Most of the property in command economies is owned by GOVERNMENT. The citizens of a command economy are likely to own LESS property than citizens of a mixed-market economy.

Explanation:

A mixed market economy is a combination of both a free market and a command economy. In real life, all the economies are mixed market economies since there is no purely capitalistic economy in the world and there is no 100% command economy either. But generally speaking, countries lean more towards free markets or towards planned economies.

In a mixed market economy, private companies exist but are supervised by the government. And that is basically true for every single country, since all the governments impose taxes and regulations, only that some impose more regulations than others.
