The widespread acceptance of the medical model of mental illness in modern times encouraged an explanation of mental illness in terms of a person's conflicts, frustrations, and emotional disturbances.

Further Explanation

A medical model refers to different procedures in which doctors are taught about how to treat mental disorder

The philosophy behind the medical model is that mental disorders are caused by psychological factors, therefore this model treats mental illness as physical disease in which medication is commonly used in treating those suffering from this disease. The medical model is mostly used by psychiatrists.

In a medical model, its biological approach focuses mainly on the following

 • Neuroanatomy
 • Neurophysiology
 • Genetics
 • Neurotransmitters and many more

Also, in a medical model, it is assumed that hallucinations, one of the symptoms linked with a mental disorder are classified as syndromes caused by mental disorder.

Psychiatrists looks out for symptoms associated with mental illness to make a diagnosis and also in prescribing treatment.

Mental disorder is also called mental illness, it is a health condition that has to do with changes in individual thinking, behavior or emotions. Mental disorder is linked with problems functioning in family activities, work, etc.

Therefore, the correct answer to the question is that it encouraged an explanation of mental illness in terms of a person's conflicts, frustrations, and emotional disturbances

As human beings we are envisioning of good life and that we always are looking forward of the goals to attain the good life we are dreaming of. But there comes the best enemy of all, our brains. The question is how to tap that full potential of our brains to achieve such goals? After attending and listening motivational talks, there were common things I have come up with how to unleash that unlimited potential of our brains to be successful. First, you must be planning ahead and write down on a piece of paper may it be a long-term or short-term goal; you need to make a visible plan that will keep you reminded each day in order for you to keep on track. Next, do not make that plan just a plan work for it and make it happen. List steps on how to start your plans. Most importantly, change your mindset and make it creative. Mostly, the once that hinders our achievements is our brain. We often think of our limits instead of thinking how far we can go. Just as what Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” So don’t limit your brain and be creative in facing circumstances to unlock your goals.
