Place more emphasis on producing consumer goods, but ended up hurting the Soviet economy as a result of this emphasis on agricultural input
Brezhnev Era- Dominant leader of Soviet Union during the 1970's, and was determined to keep Eastern Europe communist and did not settle on reforms like Khrushchev did. Did benefit from a period of detente with the United States, allowing western ideas and customs to become more relaxed in the country. But quickly would move against dissidents who spoke out against the country
