(4x-101) and (2x+3) are vertical angels so they equal each other

1) plug them into an equation -> 4x-101=2x+3
2) move - 101 to the right side which makes +101 (positive) to cancel each other out so giving us 104
3) move 2x to the left like what we did with -101 instead it’ll be -2x
4) make the new equation we created ->
2x= 104
5) divide 2 to each side to get 2x into just x and divide 2 to 104
6) The answer should be x=52

Omar made $144 for 12 hours of work.
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

96

Step-by-step explanation:

144/12= 12 ( each hour)

12( times)  8=96

Since they got 144 for 12 hours you have to divide the hours by the money to get the amount earned ever hour so you divide the total amount by the  hour then use the information you got and then you multiply the amount of money by 8

If Neal and Linda had a combined taxable income of $209,150 and filed their federal income tax with the married filing jointly s
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

correct option is A. $46840.50

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

taxable income = $209,150

solution

we calculate the tax for income is $209,150

The tax of the taxable income over $208,850 but but not over $372950 is

tax of the taxable income over $208,850 =  $47741.50  plus 33% of the amount over $208850

tax = $47741.50 + 33% of ( $209,150 - $208850  )

tax = $47741.50 + 33% of ( $300)

solve it we get

tax = $46840.5

so correct option is A. $46840.50
