The population receiving Medicare are the elderly and some persons with disabilities - set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).


The populations receiving Medicaid are the indigent (poor people). The program is financed jointly by federal and state governments.


The populations receiving SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program) are low-income children whose family income is above the Medicaid eligibility level in their state. This program is now known as "The Children's Health Insurance Program" (CHIP)

Conformity, is the act of matching attitudes and behaviors to group norms. Norms are unspoken unstated rules shared by a group of individuals that guide their interactions with others.  

Conformity can be harmful when an individual in the group under influence starts bullying, teasing and criticizing other people. As a result, it can bring negativity in the environment and can be harmful. Whilst conformity can be beneficial, if a person focuses in setting a social standard for example, handshakes, dressing appropriately, respecting the other person’s personal space. The person would be conforming to these social norms and will bring out positivity.
