Here is the answer to the question above. If the value of an airplane is depreciating at a rate of 7% per year, and in the year 2004, it was worth 51.5 million, here is the value of the airplane in 2013.
2005 : 47, 895, 000
2006 : 44, 542, 350
2007 : 41, 424, 385.5
2008 : 38, 524, 678.5
2009 : 35, 827, 951
2010 : 33, 319, 994.4
2011 : 30, 987, 594.8
2012 : 28, 818, 463.2
2013 : 26, 801, 170.8
So the value of the airplane in 2013 is $26, 801, 170.8.
Hope this helps.

I was walking to the store at the same time as my friend Angela. No matter what, She has always gotten there twice as fast as me
atroni [7]
Let's call your speed "a"

her walking speed is then "2a"

and her friend's scooter speed is 10 a

let's also call the distance you need to walk "d"

so the time (t)you need is:

d/t=a
t=d/a

and her time is:
 t=\frac{d}{2} /2a+ \frac{d}{2} /10a
(half a distance with the speed of 2a and half a distance (d/2) with the distance of 10 a

now we count (we know that her time is 30 minutes)

30= \frac{d}{4a}+\frac{d}{20a} //multiply by 20a

600a= 5d+d
600a=6d/divide by 6
100a=d

Now, in order to calculate your time we need to calculate:

t=d/a

but we know how much is d now!
t=\frac{100a}{a}=100

which means that you need 100 minutes, or 1 h 40 minutes!!!

If p-4(p-2(3-p))=12 solve for p
stira [4]
P-4(p-2(3-p))=12 remove the parentheses

P-4(p-6+2p)=12 collect like terms

P-4(3p-6)=12 remove the parentheses

P-12p+24=12 collect like terms

-11p+24=12 move the constant to the right

-11p=12-24 calculate

-11p=-12 divide both sides

P=12/11

Alternative form

P=1 1/11
