Answer: 3/4

Step-by-step explanation:

the problem is actually one half plus one fourth but anyway.

you have to change the denominators so that they are common. To do so, you must find the least common  multiple between the two denominators. That would be four. So you wouldn’t have to change the one fourth, but you would have to change one half. Multiply the denominator by two since two times two equals four, and if you do it to the bottom you must do it to the top that would equal two fourths . So now that you have the common denominators, you can add the numerators but not the denominators, so it would equal <em>three fourths. </em>

What is a geometric sequence and arithmetic sequence?<br><br> ~MUST EXPLAIN~
Vadim26 [7]
A geometric sequence is one that involves addition or subtraction. One example would be "In an auditorium, the 1st row has 25 seats. The 2nd has 30. The 3rd has 35. How many does the 4th have? Take the formula, x + 5. All you do is simply add 5.

An arithmetic sequence is one that involves multiplication or division. For example, "Jon receives 5 dollars each week. If he waits for 5 months, how much money will he have? Honestly, all you have to do is think about the formula. x * 5. x would be the number of weeks.

I know my answer is not as good as the verified one, but it is simpler and easier to understand. I apologize if it isn't good enough.

A carpenter bought 750 nails. Each nail has a mass of 5.2×10−3 kilogram. What is the total mass, in kilograms, of the nails the
lawyer [7]

The total mass, in kilograms, of the nails the carpenter bought is 3.9 kilogram

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that carpenter bought 750 nails

Each nail has a mass of 5.2 \times 10^{-3} kilogram

To find: total mass, in kilograms of the nails bought

The total mass of the nails bought can be found out by multiplying number of nails bought by mass of each nail

Number of nails bought = 750

Mass of each nail = 5.2 \times 10^{-3} kilogram

total mass of the nails bought = number of nails bought x mass of each nail

\text {total mass of the nails bought }=750 \times 5.2 \times 10^{-3}

\text {total mass of the nails bought }=3900 \times 10^{-3}=\frac{3900}{1000}=3.9

Thus the total mass of nails bought is 3.9 kilogram
