Manifest Destiny was the belief that early Americans should move westward. This was carried out to provoke expansion. Many more people were able to find jobs and become successful with newer resources. This greatly helped to industrialize America. Also, Manifest Destiny helped attract other people to America and increase its population.

Why did Lincoln not want to send more troops to Fort Sumter? Because of the possible secession of Virginia and other loyal state
padilas [110]

Answer:

Because of the possible secession of Virginia and other loyal states.

Explanation:

Fort Sumter is one of the most famous sites of the Civil War because US Major Robert Anderson occupied the fort following the secession of South Carolina from the Union and initiated the state militia’s forces. Lincoln resisted on sending more troops to the location because there was a possibility that Virginia and other loyal states would also secede. Later, those states seceded as well and joined the Confederacy.
