Answer:

x² - 100

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the FOIL method. The FOIL method is the way in which you multiply the terms:

FOIL stands for First, Outside, Inside, Last. Multiply:

First:

x * x = x²

Outside:

x * 10 = 10x

Inside:

-10 * x = -10x

Last:

-10 * 10 = -100

Combine like terms:

x² + 10x - 10x - 100

x² + (10x - 10x) - 100

x² - 100

x² - 100 is your answer.

How do u work out
65% of 8700
lidiya [134]

First off, you have to make 65 % into an actual number, which is 0.65 (every time you want to convert percentages into numbers, you have to divide that by 100)

Now

0.65 * 8700 = 5655

Answer: 5655

if a rectangle has an area of 30 square meters and a perimeter of 34 meters . what is the dimensions of the rectangle?
timama [110]
P=2(L+W) and P=34 so

2(L+W)=34

L+W=17 so we can say

L=17-W

A=LW using L from above

A=(17-W)W

A=17W-W^2 and A=30 so

30=17W-W^2

W^2-17W+30=0

W^2-2W-15W+30=0

W(W-2)-15(W-2)=0

(W-15)(W-2)=0

So the dimensions of the rectangle are 15 meters by 2 meters.

Marcus has to write a 4 1/2 page essay for his English class.he has only written 1 1/6 pages. how many pages does he have left t
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

3 2/6

Step-by-step explanation:

total pages to be written

add 4 to 1/2 using common denominators

4 1/2 = 8/2 + 1/2

= 9/2 or 27/6

pages Marcus wrote

add 1 to 1/6 using common denominators

1 1/6 = 6/6 + 1/6

= 7/6

pages left

27/6 - 7/6 = 20/6 or 3 2/6

Geometry Basics Test
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

P=40

Step-by-step explanation:

find the distance between each vertices:

between the following points to find the length of each sides, octagon has 8 sides , since it is regular pentagon the distance between each vertices =5

the length of each side of octagon=5

to check :d=√(x2-x1)²+(y2-y1)²

(-2,-4) and (1,0) , d=√[(1-(-2)]²+(0+4)² =√3²+4², d=5

(1,0) and (1,5) , d= 5

(1,5) and (-2,9) , d=5

(-2,9) and (-7,9) , d=5

(-7,9) and (-10,5) , d=5

(-10,5) and(-10,0) , d=5

(-10,0) and(-7,-4), d= 5

(-7,-4) and (-2,-4), d=5

perimeter of octagon = 8a ( a is the length of the side)

p=8(5)

P=40
