What is an example of the kind of discrimination successfully ended by
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

The National Organization for Women (NOW ) is an organization for the defense of women's rights. Its approach prioritizes achieving economic equality and rights equality. The organization has also been active in the fight for the right to abortion, reproductive freedom, against racism and intolerance in defense of the LGBTQIA community.

One example of the kind of discrimination successfully ended by efforts of NOW is unequal access to public places. The Oak Room was a bar and a restaurant in the Plaza Hotel in New York City that only received men during weekdays (monday through Friday) until 1969, when NOW members organized a protest. Similarly, women were not allowed to enter McSorley Irish Tavern in New York city until August 10, 1970, after NOW's lawyers filed a case of discrimination against the bar in the District Court and won. The bar was forced to admit women and the bathroom became unisex.

german

Answer:

Political strategy

Explanation:

The Lowell mill women situation in New England was worse, forced to work in bad condition with noise, confinement, and lint-filled air. Working hours were for 13 hours a day. As their factory owners and managers began to cut their wages, mill girls gathered together and went for strikes.

When strikes did not work, mill girls decided to go for the political action. They organized the Lowell Female Labor Reform Association for fixed working hours. They organized appeal campaigns asking the Massachusetts state legislature to lessen the work time in the mills.

By 1840, the South produced two-thirds of the world's raw cotton. How did this shape Southern demographics?
Verdich [7]

This helped give money to the country. This also made good trade for the country to get other products this country needed. With the need for cotton also shaped the need for machinery. With cotton the United States became more high tech with machinery like the cotton gin and it also gave us money and valuable trade.
