The correct answer is A) to show that the gods are not to blame for everything that happens to humans.

Zeus tells the of Aegisthus story to Athena to show that the gods are not to blame for everything that happens to humans.

We are referring to the poen "The Oddysey", written by the Greek Poem Homero. In this part of the story, the God Zeus told the story of Aegisthus to explain that humans are responsible for their actions, not the gods. Zeus tells that Aegisthus was the lover of Clytemnestra. He killed Clytemnestra husband although the gods warned him not to do so. Aegisthus disobey the gods and what happened was that when Clytemnestra's son grew, he killed his mother and Aegisthus.
