Answer: They will have eaten the same amount when 4 minutes passed.

Each one will eat 16 cookies.

Explanation:

Hi to answer this question we have to write an equation for the number of cookies that each one eats:

  • Jorge = 2m +8

Where m = minutes

  • Emmanuel = 4 m

If they eat the same amount:

2 m +8 = 4 m

8= 4m -m

8 = 2m

8/2 = m

4 =m

They will have eaten the same amount when 4 minutes passed.

To know the number of cookies eaten.

Jorge = 2m +8 = 2 (4) +8 =16

Emmanuel = 4 m = 4(4) = 16

Each one will eat 16 cookies.

Answer:

They would have eaten the same amount in 4 minutes

They wuld have eaten 16 cookies in 4 minutes

Explanation:

To solve this probem lets turn Jorge and Emmanuel into an equation

Let m= minutes

Jorger = 2 cookies per minute = 2m

He has eaten 8 cookies already so lets add 2m to 8 = 2m+ 8

Emmanuel on the have eats 4 cookies per minute = 4m

Jorge = 2m+ 8 =total number of cookies eaten in m minutes

Emmanuel = 4m =total number of cookies eaten in m minutes

To know both when the would have eaten the samd amount and the amount of cookies they have eaten the equation must be equal to each other

2m+8 = 4m

Lets solve like terms together

We need to remove 2m from both sides

2m+8-2m = 4m-2m

8 = 2m

Making m the subject of the equation by dividing each side by 2

8/2 =2m/2

4=m

So m=4

Back to jorge and emmanuel equation since m is 4 meaning m is 4 minutes

2m+8 = 2×4+8= 16

4m =4×4 =16

They have eaten 16 cookies each in 4 minutes

andreev551 [17]

Answer:

correct option is a. −$59.03

Explanation:

given data

Old cost of capital (r)   8.00%        New cost of capital (r)  11.25%

year                                 0                1                                     2                  3

cash flow                        -$1000       $410                              $410        $410

solution

we know that here old cost of capital (r) NPV will be

old cost of capital (r) NPV = cash flow 0 year + cash flow × \frac{1-(1+rate)^{-time}}{rate}

put here value

old cost of capital (r) NPV = -1000 + 410 × \frac{1-(1+0.08)^{-3}}{0.08}

old cost of capital (r) NPV = $56.61

and

new cost of capital (r) NPV will be

new cost of capital (r) NPV = cash flow 0 year + cash flow × \frac{1-(1+rate)^{-time}}{rate}

put here value

new cost of capital (r) NPV = -1000 + 410 × \frac{1-(1+0.1125)^{-3}}{0.1125}

new cost of capital (r) NPV = -$2.42

so difference is

Difference = -$2.42 - $56.61

Difference = -$59.03

so correct option is a. −$59.03
