In this activity, you will think about the development of a main character in a novel or a story you have read that has been mad

e into a film or television show. You will then compare and contrast how the book represents that character with how the television show or movie presents the character. You will also decide which version of the character you prefer. Recall the central question of this unit: How does a person change over time? One way to think about this question is to look at literary characters and see how they change. In analyzing literature, we talk about character development, which refers to the changes and growth a character undergoes over the course of a story. If you have notes from the writing assignments you completed for the lessons in this unit, you may use them for this activity. For example, you may have notes on the character of Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Part A Which book did you choose analyze? Was this novel or story adapted into a film or a television show? Also include the name of the author. Font Sizes

Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

Reldresal cannot believe that someone like Gulliver could live in the same world as him, giving no chance to other realities.

Explanation:

Reldresal is a character from Gulliver's Travels, a book by Irish writer Jonathan Swift. He is known by his satirical works. Satire is defined as the use of irony or sarcasm to criticize people's vices in a political context.

Gulliver's Travels narrates the man character's trips to different places, such as Lilliput and Blefuscu, which were two rival islands. Reldresal is Gulliver's friend in Lilliput, and he is the principal secretary for private affairs.

In this case, the quote in the question satirizes small-mindedness since the secretary cannot believe that something bigger than the reality he knew could be happening in the same world. He even says that a hundred mortals like Gulliver would destroy Lilliput in a short time; meaning that they could destroy everything very fast. This way, Reldresal shows that he doesn't give a chance to different realities.

What is the first sentence of the book The Alternate Penguin?
kozerog [31]

Deep in the Antartic wastelands, within one of the numerous penguin colonies there was a penguin who was different. He did not look like the other penguins; he did not think like other penguins. He was an anomaly. For a start, he wore horned-rimmed glasses that he found lying on the wreckage of an ancient whaling ship that floundered and was stuck in the ice close to where he lived. All the other penguins mocked him for wearing glasses. What they did not know, was that he loved reading the books found on the whaling ship.
