Hey there! I'm going to use agriculture as an example. Depending on its relations with other countries, certain societies can negotiate on what they want and trade for it. Or, they could set up systems in which certain countries send over certain products. For example, The United States produces a surplus of lots of food due to technological advancements in the food industry. It sends this extra food to poor countries. Also, depending on the country's goods, it may have a higher demand and therefore send it out to many countries. Because New Zealand is far away from the top consumers Europe and North America, they cannot produce highly perishable items that will spoil on the trip over. Instead, they create products from milk that do not spoil as quickly. In the end, societies will distribute their goods depending on their relative location with its buyers. Hope this helps!
