Answer: Sixty-five percent of the mass of the human body is oxygen

Explanation:

Oxygen is an important element required by the living beings for survival.  Our atmosphere contains 20.95% of oxygen. Oxygen is required for cellular respiration and metabolism in living beings, without oxygen no cell in the body of the organisms will survive. It is necessary for the proper functioning of the cell organelles.

In human beings the oxygen is supplied to all the cells of the body by the circulatory system. Therefore, Sixty-five percent of the mass of the human body is oxygen.

-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

This supports Darwin's theory of evolution, which states that simple life forms gradually evolved into more complex ones. Evidence for early forms of life comes from fossils. By studying fossils, scientists can learn how much (or how little) organisms have changed as life developed on Earth.

Bacteria undergo mitosis and meiosis in order to reproduce and increase genetic recombination.
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

The correct answer is (b)-False

Explanation:

Bacteria do not undergo meiosis or mitosis to reproduce and increase its genetic recombination. To increase their genetic recombination bacteria take the help of horizontal gene transfer through which it gets the genetic material of another bacteria. This new gene helps bacteria to survive in the challenging environment.

Bacteria divide through binary fission in which one cell of bacteria divides into two equal daughter cell each having its genetic material because genetic material of parent cell segregate equally into both the cell.

Therefore bacteria do not undergo meiosis or mitosis.
