The political system in Ancient Rome was based on competition with the ruling elite, the military was a key element to the political system of Ancient Rome that was generally based on competition within the ruling class. An individual social standing impacted their political and military roles. War was significant towards Roman expansion to the Northern Hemisphere, it was characterized by; grabbing of land, military might, strategic ability and political capabilities of the generals that determined their political leadership
A caravel is a type of ship made from a single stern caste. These types of ships were used by the Europeans for their explorations of different lands unknown to them during the early days. Up to this day, the way a caravel looks is still debatable and historians are yet to find their answers. Through time these caravels were reliable because they can be easily maneuvered, their speed was incredible and yet they perform safe in the waters. The caravels gained their fame through the Spanish and Portuguese voyages that discovered lands far from their imaginations. Columbus was also said to have owned caravels during his time at sea and he named his ships Niña and Pinta. He admired them so great because of their speed and how easy it is to control at sea.

The Republicans in Congress disagreed with President Johnson’s plan for Reconstruction because it did not include a plan for giving the "federal government" a role <span>in southern state governments. The Republicans wanted the US government to play an active role in Reconstruction since they didn't trust the South to do it alone. Johnson was more trusting. </span>
