After the war in the Middle East, we will most likely be allocating money towards helping refugees and keeping troops with the innocent citizens until we are absolutely sure it's safe again. We will not have to allocate as much money to the military as we do now. We'll still have to be vigilant towards any possible terrorist attacks to stay completely safe, however.

Minchanka [31]

Greeley could not believe that Lincoln could have a balance in saving the Union without freeing the slaves, since he (Lincoln) could be inflamed by the slaves of the border states. All efforts to end the rebellion would not be worth it.

This ended up occurring, because Lincoln has not yet been able to resolve the issue of slavery.

What was the effect of so much trade in Byzantium?
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

Byzantium, later known as Constantinople, has been, throughout history, an important place for trade, thanks to its priviliged geographical location, between Europe and the Middle East, and between the Aegean Sea, and the Black Sea, connected by the Strait of Bosphorus.

The effect so much trade in Byzantium was that the city became 1) wealthier, because of the amount of goods and services that reached the city, and 2) more politically powerful, because of the importance of the trade relations centered in and around Byzantium, not only for Byzantium itself, but also for other nations.
