Vladimir [108]

G. Stanley Hall described adolescence as a period so turbulent that it resembled the era in which humans evolved from savages into civilized beings.  <em>He was a noted american psychologist and educator that described adolescence as a period characterized by conflict with parents and risky behavior. Hall described adolescence as a cascade of instinctual passions and also coined the term "storm and stress" because he viewed adolescence as a period of inevitable turmoil (from childhood to adulthood). Describe two reasons why geneticists have reevaluated their traditional view that one gene codes for one polypeptide
Nadya [2.5K]
For a long period of time, geneticists believed that one gene codes for one polypeptide. This hypothesis has been re-evaluated for two reasons. Firstly, some genes do not encode polypeptides, but functional RNA molecules. Secondly, due to the phenomenon of alternative splicing, some genes can encode several similar but not identical polypeptides. This phenomenon is present only in eukaryotes and it is based the fact that different parts of some genes can be used during gene expression.
