Answer:

An independent woman is like the sun that doesn't need the moon to shine.

In the sentence above, there is a combination of two literary devices:

 1. Simile and
 2. Imagery

a) To compare the independent woman to the sun using the word "like" in the sentence connotes the use of a Simile.

b) Comparing her independence with the relationship between the sun and the moon creates a strong image in the mind of the reader. Hence the literary device called Imagery.

Geographically speaking, the moon needs the sun to shine. But the obverse is untrue. The savvy reader immediately gets a hold of the depth of independence being described.

Cheers!

What consequences might Quinn’s family suffer if he participates in the protest?
Westkost [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

I'm a little unsure but if this family has high status in the public eye then depending on the protest might make the family embarrassed or bring upon bad views by the public eye. If this family has a low status like not famous or known then it could just be embarrassing for them that a family member did something that is (depending on the protest) frowned upon. Hope this helps

My life were better ended by their hate than death prorogued wanting of thy love." When Romeo says this, He is telling Juliet that it is far more important to him, to be with her tonight and die, then to live yearning for her. This is an example of foreshadowing because he is saying that it is worth dying than not having Juliet by his side. The example of foreshadowing that Shakespeare plants in Act II, give the audience a little insight into what's going to happen in the future of the story. Foreshadowing also creates suspense in the story causing viewers to be more atten
