To find what percentage of bikes are defective we first have to find the ratio. The ratio can be found by dividing both sides of the division. If we divide 2 by 2 we get 1 and if we divide 50 by 2 we get 25.

After we found our ratio which is 1 to 25 we can set up an equation that will help us solve the problem. Such as

$\frac{1}{25} = \frac{x}{100}$

We cross multiply do

$1 \times 100 = x \times 25$

Complete the multiplication
