Similarities between federalists and democratic-republicans
antoniya [11.8K]

While both parties differed on almost every topic of debate, there were a number of points that defined the conflict between them.

The Federalists were keen to maintain diplomatic ties with Great Britain, whereas the Republicans wanted to cut these ties, although they were sympathetic to France and some other European powers.Federalists thought that the national government should cede some accountability to the electorate, using the argument that frequent elections and participation hindered the ability of the state to effectively govern. Republicans, on the other hand, actively promoted and encouraged more participation at the grass-roots level.

In general, Federalist support was centered around New England, with a small minority of support in Southern states. Republicans held the most influence in the South, especially in Virginia, although some scattered support could be found in New England.

NEED HELP NOW
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

Zhou kings governed China much like Shang rulers.

The king led the government, ruling with the help of a(n)

Bureaucracy. The king divided the kingdom into

Territories. He assigned loyal Aristocrats to

govern each of the territories. These positions were

Hereditary —when an aristocrat died, a son or another

member of his family governed the territory.

Zhou kings introduced a new idea to Chinese government.

They claimed that the king’s right to rule came from the

Gods. This is called the Mandate of Heaven. The

king must rule by the proper “Way,” known as the Dao.

Under Zhou kings, the Chinese developed new systems to

Irrigate the land. With a better water supply,

farmers were able to grow more crops than ever before.

China’s trade also expanded. Archaeologists have found

pieces of Chinese silk in central Asia and as far away as

Greece. Their findings suggest that Chinese Trade

reached many different areas of the world.

Over time, the Aristocrats who ruled the territories of

the Zhou kingdom grew more powerful. These rulers began to

fight one another for power. These wars began in the 400s

B.C. and went on for nearly 200 years. Because each

aristocrat formed his own state, this time in China’s history is

called the “Period of the warring.”

Privateers from __________ attacked spanish ships and colonies during the late 1500s in order to destabilize spain's new world e
Svetach [21]

Answer: ENGLAND

The "privateers" were privately owned ships and ship captains. But they had the approval and support of the English government under Queen Elizabeth I (who ruled England from 1558-1603). If they were operating without a government's support, we'd simply call them pirates. But their acts of piracy against the Spanish were part of an overall campaign of England against rival Spain. But since they were "privateers" and not technically in the government's employ, Elizabeth's government could always maintain some denial of responsibility for their actions. Some famous names among the English privateers were Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh.
