During reconstruction the African Americans found it difficult to create their own political and economic setup. Blacks who were into politics became a part of Republican Party in south but also they shad a difficult economic condition. They did not own ant land as the government failed to give lands to people who were formally slaves and this made their economic condition bad. Though women took part in the fight but they were not granted the voting rights along with African Americans.
