Answer:

b

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

x² = 400 ( take the square root of both sides )

x = ± \sqrt{400} = ± 20

Thus x = - 20 is a solution of the equation → b

5. Give two equations that will cross at (3, 4)
Anton [14]

Answer: 4x=3y, 8x=6y

Step-by-step explanation: We can use a simplified form of an equation for this specific problem, since a solution is (3,4), if you plugin 3 for x and 4 for y you get the same thing. Since 4 times 3 equals 3 times 4 you can call x as 4 and y as 3. You can simply multiply this by 2 for another equation since it doesn't affect the ratio. I hope this helps!

Help me with this please
Nostrana [21]
Check out the image attachment for one way to draw this problem out. Notice how angles AEC and DEB are vertical angles, so that means they are congruent angles

(measure of angle AEC) = (measure of angle DEB)
6x + 20 = 10x
6x + 20-6x = 10x-6x ... subtract 6x from both sides
20 = 4x
4x = 20
4x/4 = 20/4 ... divide both sides by 4
x = 5

The value of x is 5.

Let's check the answer
6x + 20 = 10x
6*5 + 20 = 10*5 ... replace every x with 5
30+20 = 50
50 = 50
We have confirmed the answer.

Given: ΔАВС, m∠ACB = 90° CD ⊥ AB , m∠ACD = 60° BC = 6 cm Find CD, Area of ΔABC
gregori [183]
Area=1/2*base*height
given that ABC is right angled triangle, the height will be given by:
tan theta=opposite/adjacent
tan 60=h/6
h=6tan60
=10.4
thus the area will be:
A=1/2x6x10.4
=31.2 cm^2
