The answer is B. <span>"Mr. Simpson," I inquired, "are you in charge of organizing the surprise party?" 

There needs to be a punctuation mark after "Mr. Simpson" and "I inquired", which are not there in the other answer choices.

I would say C is the one that is correct, it is obviously not B because its the beginnibng of a question dirrected to someone and it cant be A because its supposed to have a comma after "I inquired"
