Answer: She had never seen her father cry and thought of him as being very strong, but when she sees him crying she was taken aback and everything seemed upside-down for her because it was unusual.

Explanation: The world had lost its boundary lines. My mother, who was small and soft, was now the strength of the family; my father, who was the rock on which the family had been built, was sobbing like the tiniest child. Everything was suddenly out of tune, like a broken accordion. Where did I fit into this crazy picture? I do not now remember my thoughts, only a feeling of great bewilderment and fear.

In a well-constructed essay of 400-450 words, discuss whether you believe Abigail Williams is the catalyst for the witch-hunts t
Dovator [93]

Answer:

Yes.

Explanation:

Yes, I believe Abigail Williams is the catalyst for the witch-hunts trials of 1692 that devastated the Salem community of Massachusetts because of Abigail Williams accusation of their neighbors in the act of witchcraft. About one to two hundred people in the Salem area have been imprisoned, twenty-four were executed and fifty-five falsely admitted to the act of witchcraft so we can conclude that Abigail Williams was considered the catalyst in witch hunt trials.

Lines 1-3 of the poem include a simile, a comparison between two unlike things that uses the word like or as. What idea does the
kozerog [31]

Hello. You didn't attach the poem or even say the title of the poem, which makes it impossible for me to answer your question accurately, but I will help you as much as I can by showing you how to find your answer.

The simile makes comparisons between elements that have different contexts, but that has a characteristic between both that can be related creating a new meaning and concept between one of these elements. In other words, the simile aims to show a concept shared between two different elements. This type of comparison, within a poem, can create a message pattern, where the entire poem is aimed at maintaining the tone that the simile projected during the comparison.

An example of this can be seen in the phrase "My heart fell in life like a star wounded by a hunter's arrow," where the hunter's heart and arrow are different elements, but promote the feeling of pain and sadness when compared.
