History

Throughout the Middle Ages, Constantinople, capital of the Eastern Roman Empire (known as the Byzantine Empire), was the trade hub between the goods transported along the Silk Road all the way from China, and the Venetian and Genoese merchants. When Constantinople was conquered by the Ottomans by the force of arms, in 1453 A.D. they took over the control of all the trade coming through the Silk Road. However, they denied European merchantes access to Constantinople and the goods traded in that city which prompted the Portuguese to seek maritime routes to India and China sailing around the Western African coastline.

Of the three countries you researched, which approach to the Great Depression do you think was most effective? Why?
Fofino [41]

the united states solution i believe was the best because they were able to keep themselves up enough to last to world war 2 when they started to increase jobs because they had to build war machines like ships and tanks ect and since they had to do it fast they had to hire more people instead of some of the other countries how lessened the value of their money such as great Britain

Describe the trade routes in the early river valley civilizations
melomori [17]

\huge\boxed{\fcolorbox{cyan}{red}{ƛƝƧƜЄƦ}}

A river valley civilization is an agricultural nation or civilization situated beside and drawing sustenance from a river. A "civilization" means a society with large permanent settlements featuring urban development, social satisfaction, specialization of labor, centralized organization, and written or other formal means of communication. A river gives the inhabitants a reliable source of water for drinking and agriculture. Additional benefits include fishing, fertile soil due to annual flooding, and ease of transportation. The first great civilizations, such as those in Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt, all grew up in river valleys. Tigris River flourished near Mesopotamia civilization and river nile flourished near civilization of Egypt.
