You work at a local grocery store. It is your job to be sure all of the items in dairy are stocked before you leave the store fo
r the day. You are in a hurry to get home for a family party. You are running very late as the store has been unusually busy and a new shipment of milk has just arrived on the loading dock and it needs to be put away immediately. You ask your co-worker, Trent, to please put away the new dairy shipment so you can go home on time. Trent agrees. The next day you arrive at work to find a furious boss. She pulls you into the office to tell you the dairy shipment was never put away. It sat overnight and had to be thrown out at the cost of $300. You are told if it happens again you will be fired.
You are furious that Trent didn't put the dairy shipment away. Your first reaction is to start yelling at everyone! Instead, you remember the conflict resolution steps....
If it is your job and you ask someone else to do it, always inform your supervisor if it is ok to let Trent do it or do they want you to stay and work overtime
